Patience.

I am learning to be a patient woman these past few months among other things.  This weather, summer shows, blooming flowers, and hot weather makes me want to get into the hotshop and create things NOW.  My hotshop is now in the shop, cold and not hooked up.  And I am ok with that, its another step closer to lighting up and blowing glass.
Before the light up we have to build the house.  By we it is my father, my baby brother, mom, uncle and myself that have been building.  In the past six months I have learned how to pour cement for foundation, install windows, build trusses, and how to roof.  I’ve also made a mess of drywall and wasted mud.
While waiting for the light up I have puttered in a garden mixed of flowers and vegetables and raising two German Shepard puppies.  Every day that I wait, I sketch or take pictures and brainstorm of new ideas to put into glass.  And the patience is running thin.  I am ready.
I am so ready to feel the intense heat again, and lose myself while starring into the glory hole.  I cannot wait!
