Instead of turning another year older, I’ve decided to return to the age I fell back in love with glass. Life couldn’t be better if I tried… so I figured why not “visualize” that feeling, and thank the unknown… that and my track record I have portrayed, well 29 it is. So Happy Birthday to me. I had a wonderful day, the first time in five years I spend the day with my mom, and she spoiled me. It was good food, and lots of laughs with some family.
On the glass front, I had spent December and January blowing and casting, so now its the time for cold working and finishing. The piece in the photo is sandcasted, coldworked, and then kiln formed. Tree branches were used in the process… and thankfully not lost during the kiln part.
I will continue to use the kiln to finish some more of the castings off, and will definitely post some pictures!
