I trust everyone is having a great summer despite the fact that sun didn’t appear until about a week ago… but hey!
Whats happening at TLG? Tide Line II a.k.a. the hot shop where all the hot glass is worked is now turned off. After four days, Emma the furnace is now at room temperature. Suddenly after shes turned off I have ideas running through my mind again of what I could make, or experiment with. It will have to wait until the late fall some time now.
Rumor has it there are other things you can do with glass that doesn’t involve a blow pipe or molten glass… so I will explore this thought further. What other choice does one have?!
I am tempted to experiment with the torches a little more, and dare I say the kilns. These two areas I find the most frustrating. The kilns more so, only because you have to wait so long before you know if things “worked” or not! I will keep you posted.

CLASSES
Schedule classes will be starting in stained glass for the third week in September. If you are interested in learning the art of stained glass this course is for you. You will make a good size panel approximately 6″ x 9″ with lead cane frame and the skills to apply to any other stained glass pattern. We include everything, so the investment is safe. Its a fun class, where you can laugh, learn. TLG requires a non-refundable deposit to guarantee a seat in the class, and the remainder paid by the end of the first class. You’re welcome to drop down to TLG to register after the schedule is posted.
Other classes such as flame working, whether it be boro or soft glass, and fused glass classes are offered on a daily basis. Please register one day in advance.
